General information
International passenger transport is becoming increasingly liberalized. The philosophy of the European Union is that this liberalization of the market leads to more comfort, quality, speed and reliability. The traveler is central here. To ensure a minimum quality for all travelers, the European Union combined this liberalization with guaranteed rights for travelers.
As a passenger, you therefore also have certain rights if something goes wrong during your trip, regardless of the means of transport you use. These rights were established in a series of European regulations. If you believe that your rights under passenger rights law have been infringed, please contact the carrier first. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can report a violation of your rights as a passenger to the national enforcement authorities.
