Ferry flights and technical landings
Civil aircraft registered in a State that acceded to:
- the Convention on International Civil Aviation, signed at Chicago on 7 December 1944 ( art.5 for non scheduled flights)
- the International Air Services Transit Agreement, signed at Chicago on 7 December 1944 (commonly known as the Transit Agreement for scheduled air services)
may perform ferry flights destined to or departing from Belgium or may perform technical landings on Belgian territory without any specific authorization.
Other civil aircraft must apply in due time (see application form) for an authorization. Applications should be submitted by using Application Form A.
The transport of dangerous goods and/or weapons is subject of a separate authorization: ‘Application for permission to carry dangerous goods and/or arms Form B’.
