Radio exams (microlight airplane, paramotor, balloon, and drones)
We are currently only organising radio exams for pilots with a pilot licence (student pilot licence not allowed).
The exam consists of two parts:
-
The theoretical part deals with the telecommunication procedures contained in Volume II of Annex 10 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, and the regulations contained in the AIP Belgium and Luxembourg, and in the Part-SERA.
-
The practical part requires conversation and use of radiotelephony phrases in the English language, contacting air traffic control authorities during a fictitious VFR flight.
The certificate itself is issued by the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications.
