Approval and Exemptions

Approval:

 

Where specifically provided for in Regulations, the States concerned may grant an approval to permit the transport of dangerous goods, provided that in such instances an overall level of safety in transport which is equivalent to the level of safety provided for in Regulations is achieved.

For the purposes of approvals, “States concerned” are the States of origin and the operator, unless otherwise specified in Regulations.

This form duly completed and the required documents have to be submitted to this Authority by e-mail (bcaa.dangerousgoods@mobilit.fgov.be) not later than 5 working days prior to the proposed date of operation.

 

 

Exemptions:

 

In instances of extreme urgency or when other forms of transport are inappropriate or when full compliance with the prescribed requirements is contrary to the public interest, the States concerned may grant exemption from the provisions of the Regulations provided that in such instances every effort is made to achieve an over-all level of safety in air transport has been achieved.

 

For the purposes of exemptions, the “States concerned” are the States of origin, operator, transit, overflight and destination.

 

This form duly completed and the required documents have to be submitted to this Authority by e-mail (bcaa.dangerousgoods@mobilit.fgov.be) not later than 10 working days prior to the proposed date of operation.
